Competition Rules

  • This competition starts on 1st January 2014 and closes 30th April 2014. No late entries will be accepted.
  • No director, employee, agent or consultant of the Tiger Brands Group of Companies, or their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members, or the supplier of goods and services in connection with this competition may participate in this competition.
  • The competition is open to South African residents only.
  • All minors must be assisted by a guardian.
  • There are 340 Cup Stacking® Prizes to be won:
    • Each week of the competition, 125 Cup Stacking® Sets (includes 12 cups per set) will be given away;
    • Each week of the competition, 5 Cup Stacking® Kits (includes 12 cups per set, 1 mat and 1 timer) will be given away;
    • The winners will be selected randomly and notified instantaneously via SMS confirming that they have won and which prize they have won. The winners will be contacted within 48-72hrs to arrange delivery of the prize. The SMS will also include a reference code.
    • There is also an online competition on www.oros.co.za.
      • To enter this competition a participant must submit a video him / herself performing in the quickest time possible, the cup stacking sequence described on the website.
      • The participant must make sure that the timer being used to time him / herself is always visible to the camera and can be clearly seen as this will ensure easier verification of the participant’s time.
      • The participant will be prompted to click through to the Oros Cup Stacking® website and to do the following :
        • Click on ‘Register’ to create his / her profile
        • Fill in the requested details, or Login with Facebook
        • Once logged in, the participant can click on ‘dashboard’ to submit a video, see all his / her entries and profile, and make changes.
      • There are two parts to submitting a video:
        • Part 1: The participant must upload his / her video onto YouTube
          • Visit youtube.com
          • Create a YouTube profile and follow the instructions on the screen to load the video.
          • Once the video is loaded, highlight the url and copy it (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqwC6JkeJvg)
      • Part 2: The participant must submit his / her video on the Oros Cup Stacking® website
        • Login to the Cup Stacking® website (see above)
        • Click on ‘submit entry’
        • Paste the url of your YouTube video into the box called ‘Your video on YouTube:’
        • Enter the time
        • Click ‘submit entry’
    • If the participant is visiting the website for the first time, he / she will be required to register using the following details : email address, username, password, phone number, gender, age, address and province.
    • The online competition gives participants a chance to win 1 complete Cup Stacking® Kit (includes: 1 x cup set containing 12 cups, 1 x mat and 1 x timer) per week
    • Every Monday morning, the entrant with the fastest time from the previous week (Monday – Sunday), will be the winner and will be contacted via telephone on that Monday to arrange delivery of the prize.
  • The promoter is not liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotional competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
  • Entries which are unclear, illegible or contain errors will be declared invalid.
  • Non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash and are not exchangeable.

  • The judges’ decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • A copy of these rules can be found on the Oros website www.oros.co.za throughout the period of the competition or can be obtained from the Consumer Services Division, on telephone number 0860 005 342.
  • By entering this competition all participants accept and agree to abide by these rules.
  • All winners will be required to provide their names, ID numbers and contact details and to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of the prize. This form will need to be sent to the promoter via email or fax or completed when the courier company delivers the prize
  • Winners may be requested to take part in the promoter’s publicity campaigns or to allow their names and likenesses to be used by the promoter for promotional purposes. Winners are, however, entitled to decline such request.
  • Where winners consent to take part in the promoter’s publicity campaigns, they will not be entitled to any remuneration for such participation and all materials arising from such participation will be the sole property of the promoter.
